In this method, a bleaching agent is placed inside the relevant tooth using various methods in the clinical setting. In this way, the tooth whitening process is completed by continuing the process until the desired tone is reached in the relevant tooth.
Bleaching Process in Vital Teeth
Vital teeth whitening process is done with the help of bleaching gels containing hydrogen peroxide. These operations are carried out in two different ways of application as office and home types.
Office Type:
Application is performed by the dentist in office type whitening. Before the application, a protective layer is applied to the gums of the patient so that the products to be used do not come into contact. Afterwards, the tooth surfaces are dried and whitening products are applied to these surfaces.
In this application, products containing bleaching agent called “hydrogen peroxide” are used. These products can sometimes be in forms that can be applied alone, and sometimes in forms that can increase their effectiveness with some light sources.
One or two sessions of treatment is required in office bleaching applications. Each session takes approximately one hour.
Home Type
A personalized plate is prepared according to the size taken from the patient’s mouth. The special whitening gel given to the patient by the physician is applied by the patient in his home environment at certain intervals according to the recipe.
